Rhinoplasty with PR technique

Rhinoplasty through the PR Technique is the latest modern method that helps reach an ideal and natural nasal shape without removing nasal cartilage or tissues. This procedure helps to show the best result in rhinoplasty with the least recovery period and with minimal swelling and pain resulting from the surgery, and without significant complications.

Why do we use rhinoplasty?
Many of us need rhinoplasty because of its ability to reshape the nose, adjust its size, make it consistent with the shape of the face as much as possible, and improve its appearance and shape from any defects that may be present. Rhinoplasty works on:
Adjusting the nostrils and making them consistent with the shape of the face.
Beautify any curve in the hump of the nose.
Correcting the tip of the nose defects such as drooping, widening, and others.
Adjusting wide, large, and inverted nostrils.
Achieving the consistency and the perfect shape of the nose.
Getting rid of any breathing problems.
Correcting any structural defects in the structure of the nose, such as:

1. Adjusting the deviation of the nasal septum, an internal septum that separates the nose into two parts and extends between the skull and the tip of the nose. A nasal septum is a group of cartilage, which has deviated or tilted to one side of the nose, affecting the air movement in the airway.
2. Reshaping and correcting the enlarged nasal bones in the nasal cavity, normally very thin bones located inside the nasal cavity. It may increase in size on one or both sides and thus cause severe problems.
3. Getting rid of adenoids that cause enlargement of the nasal tissues, along with taking care to follow some instructions to avoid their return again.
4. Removal and correction of nasal fractures that cause obstruction in the nasal passage and affect breathing, such as a fracture of the nasal septum or nasal cartilage, which appears in the form of a bad-looking bump at the middle of the nose.

The origin of rhinoplasty:
Rhinoplasty began more than 3000 BC in ancient Egypt due to the spread of cutting the nose of criminals and thieves. At that time, the surgeons of the ancient Egyptians performed a rhinoplasty and wrote its details in the Ebers papyrus, the first papyrus written in human history.

Then it appeared again in India, but with new techniques until the Italian surgeon Gasparo Tagliacozzi invented the first facial plastic surgery, and then developed dramatically at the end of the 1900s.

Before performing PR rhinoplasty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa will do the following:
Asking about your main aim of rhinoplasty. Is it the improvement of its appearance, breathing, or the problems that cause it?
Keeping track of your medical history and whether you suffer from any allergy.
Recording the medications that you are taking in a daily pattern.
Performing some laboratory tests to check your health condition.
Asking about your family's medical history and whether they have any health problems.
Determining the measurements of the face in detail with the final shape of the nose that you want to get.
Advising you to stop smoking and aspirin administration; because they increase the risk of bleeding during surgery.

After rhinoplasty with PR technology with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa:
After rhinoplasty, you will notice some swelling, slight breathing difficulty, and minor pains and scratches. Over time the swelling will decrease significantly, and the final results will appear in a way that will impress you later.

The recovery period after PR rhinoplasty with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa:
The final results of PR rhinoplasty with Prof. Ahmed El Sherifa will appear after approximately one year. Prof. Ahmed El Sherifa will advise you to follow the following:
1. Take care of the surgical incisions after the surgery in the same way that Prof. Ahmed El Sherifa will instruct you.
2. Take the prescribed antibiotics to prevent infections at the site of the surgical incisions.
3. Maintain complete bed rest with the head raised above the chest level; to reduce the swelling resulting from the surgery as much as possible.
4. Do not move the splint placed on the nose because it protects and supports the nose after the surgery.
5. Avoid any strenuous physical activity or heavy exercise.
6. Avoid itching or applying pressure on the nose.
7. Maintain a healthy diet, as much as possible, that contains many vegetables and fruits.
8. Do not laugh or smile strongly or brush your teeth hard, with intense scratching of the upper lips.
9. Avoid wearing any glasses on the nose for 4 weeks after the surgery.
10.   Not to apply any ice on the nose after the surgery.
11.    Apply sunscreen on the nose before sun exposure, because it may affect the results.
11. Pay attention to follow-up visits to check on the surgical outcomes.

What is the difference between PR rhinoplasty and other rhinoplasty surgeries?
The main goal in performing PR rhinoplasty by Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa is to achieve the best aesthetic appearance of the nose in the least recovery period and with the highest efficiency by making small incisions at the bottom of the nose that may disappear after a few months. The other plastic surgeries leave surgical scars on the top of the nose because the surgical incisions are at the top.
Also, the surgical intervention in PR rhinoplasty is in the tissues and cartilages that need to be modified only, unlike traditional rhinoplasty procedures in which all nasal tissues are included; therefore the patient experiences less surgical intervention, less swelling, smaller surgical scars, and thus a better result.

Is it possible to have rhinoplasty by laser?
Yes, there is a new and innovative method for laser rhinoplasty, but it is still inefficient to be used in all rhinoplasty surgeries. Laser beams can damage the internal nasal tissues and may cause cells to die, so they are used in some of the following conditions only:
Enlarged fat glands in the nose.
Adenoids and excess birthmarks.
Nasal sensitivity caused by the presence of nasal cartilage on the nasal septum.

What is rhinoplasty with threads?
It is a non-surgical process in which non-surgical, absorbable threads are used to improve the shape of the nose and make it consistent with the face. These threads also stimulate the production of natural collagen in the body.

Before you perform rhinoplasty with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Sherifa, you should ask him the following questions by which you can evaluate the results of your surgery and your expectations about it:
1. What is the success rate of the surgery?
2. How long will you stay in the hospital after the surgery?
3. What are forbidden and allowed actions after the surgery?
4. Will the surgery require general or local anesthesia?
5. When will the results of the surgery appear?
6. Will the result last for life, or will you need to repeat it?
